On March 14, Gospower and Intel has established a joint laboratory to accelerate the deployment of AI servers through the application of immersion cooling server technologies. The establishment of the joint laboratory also marks the further deepening of cooperation between Intel and its OPEN IP ecological partner Gospower in the field of AI server applications, and the two sides will jointly explore advanced immersion cooling technologies to bring more efficient and greener solutions to the industry.
It is understood that as Intel's OPEN IP ecological partner, Gospower has been committed to providing high-performance, high-reliability server power for AI servers. In this cooperation, the two sides will jointly study key technologies such as material compatibility, system environment adaptability and long-term reliability, and bring more advanced and reliable heat dissipation solutions to the AI server field.
"We are based on the most popular needs at present, such as high computing power driven by AI, but also driven by the demand for high power consumption, our cooperation with Gospower is mainly to explore how to better apply the new technology under the demand for high-density and high-power power supply." Carrie, Intel's principal engineer of liquid cooling technology, said the joint lab will focus on the development and application of submerged liquid cooling technology, an emerging cooling technology that transfers heat directly from the chip by filling a special coolant inside the server.
"We are not working behind closed doors. On a global scale, the joint laboratory will publish the relevant technical research results such as the liquid cooling demand brought by high computing power in the form of white papers to provide standards for the industry, so that everyone can share the results and accelerate the high-quality development of the industry." Simon Wang, general manager of Gospower Regional Branch and general manager of Goreal, said that he hopes to develop more environmentally friendly and energy-saving green energy solutions through joint research and exploration by the two sides to help achieve carbon reduction goals.
The joint laboratory will focus on the upstream and downstream collaboration of the industrial chain, strengthen technological innovation and industrial chain integration, and promote the healthy development of the AI server industry. The two sides will also jointly promote the research and development of advanced thermal solutions to meet the needs of AI servers in terms of high performance, high reliability and high energy efficiency.
Ruan Shiliang, chairman of Gospower, said that the cooperation will further strengthen Intel and Gospower's leading position in the field of AI servers, promote technological progress and application innovation of the entire industry, and continue to be committed to providing customers with more high-quality, efficient and green products and services, and work together to help the rapid development of the global AI industry.
